FROM THOUGHT TO TEXTExample ready
YOU SAY

“hey Maria quick update the proposal is ready can we go through it on Friday”

WITH CLEANUP ENABLED

Hi Maria,

Quick update: the proposal is ready. Can we go through it on Friday?

Your meaning. Clearer wording.

Illustrative example. No microphone access or audio upload.

01

Choose your place.

Click into the text field where you want to write. By default, Sayvento pastes into the app that is active when your text is ready.

An email. A chat. A document.
02

Press. Speak. Stop.

Toggle recording with your shortcut, or hold your hold-to-talk shortcut while you speak. Use a natural pace. Press Esc to cancel.

Ctrl + Shift + SpaceDefault toggle shortcut · Change it in Settings, including a single function key such as F8 or a mouse button
03

Pick up the thread.

Sayvento transcribes your words, applies optional cleanup and pastes the result. By default, what you had copied is put back on the clipboard after a successful paste. Every result is saved in History.

WHEN A PASTE NEEDS ATTENTION

Your thought
is still there.

Sayvento checks the destination before sending the paste shortcut. If a paste cannot be confirmed, open History and copy your transcript, or click the field you want and use Paste last transcript.

Lost your connection? A dictation that could not be transcribed stays in memory for 10 minutes. Choose Retry on the floating bar or in the tray menu.

Ctrl + Shift + L

Default paste-last shortcut. Check the destination after pasting.

A FEW PRACTICAL DETAILS

Before you
press record.

Can I mix Greek and English?

Yes. Greek + English is the default dictation language and handles both, even in the same sentence. Add names and preferred spellings to your Dictionary for extra context.

Can I use Sayvento in Greek?

Yes. Open Settings → System → Interface language and choose Ελληνικά, English or Same as Windows. Menus, messages and Help follow that choice. The language you dictate in is set separately.

Which other languages can I dictate in?

Choose Any language to have the spoken language detected automatically, or pick a single dictation language in Settings. You can also select text and translate it into any dictation language, or say what to change, such as “make it friendlier”. See the full list on the Product page.

Does it work in every app?

Sayvento sends the Windows paste shortcut to a checked destination. Most ordinary text fields accept it, but protected fields, elevated windows and individual apps can behave differently. History keeps a saved copy when a paste needs attention.

Do I need to keep the Sayvento window open?

You can start dictation through a global shortcut while working in another app. Sayvento needs to be running, but its main window does not need to be in front.

Can I use it offline?

Transcription and optional cleanup need an internet connection. If a dictation fails while you are offline, the recording is kept in memory for 10 minutes so you can retry. Your History, Dictionary and Snippets remain on your computer.
