Microsoft Store: 0.2.12

0.2.12

Available in Microsoft Store ↗

A new Rust/Tauri desktop app, with a native floating widget and continuous Greek and English dictation.

New

  • The Rust/Tauri Windows app replaces Electron in the existing Microsoft Store listing.
  • Continuous ElevenLabs transcription for Greek and English, with OpenAI audio recovery and optional Luna text cleanup.

Improved

  • Home, Settings and History load when opened. Closing the main window releases its WebView2 processes while the native widget and tray remain available.
  • Direct2D and DirectWrite render the native widget with smooth edges and readable text across Windows display scales.
  • Microphone volume normalization preserves the original silence detection.
  • Microsoft Store manages installation and updates under the existing Sayvento identity.

Fixed

  • The expanded idle widget returns to its compact state when the pointer leaves, without drifting down the screen.
  • Successful paste and copy controls close after six seconds; errors needing attention remain visible.
  • Recording, Stop, transcription finalization and paste focus handling have been revised.

0.1.51

Includes 0.1.47 to 0.1.50

Navigate freely during setup and keep Talk responsive, with spoken commands and app-specific Styles.

New

  • Begin normal dictation with Sayvento to apply a voice command to selected text. The prefix is recognized locally; a missing selection never pastes the instruction.
  • Provisional cloud transcription preview in the floating bar.
  • Per-app Styles with language, destination formatting and performance overrides. Choose a style manually or match recognized apps and sites automatically.

Improved

  • Prepare cloud access while resolving the dictation destination.
  • Reconnect live transcription during longer recordings instead of always falling back after one cloud worker session.
  • A collapsed floating bar with twice the visible height.

Fixed

  • Home, Settings and other navigation now leave an unfinished setup guide instead of keeping it over the requested page. The guide can be reopened without marking its checks complete.
  • Repeated shortcut or Talk presses while the renderer finishes audio could incorrectly show Ready and leave recording blocked until restart. Stale result timers no longer clear a capture or processing session.
  • After a recording startup timeout, automatic recovery could leave Talk and mouse shortcuts unresponsive until the app was restarted.

0.1.46

Quit safely from the tray, including while your account or shortcuts are loading.

Fixed

  • Tray Quit could display “Account data is loading” after closing the account profile before the shortcut helper.
  • Late helper status, mouse toggles and hold-key events no longer access an unavailable profile during shutdown or account switching.

0.1.45

Readable learned-word cards and clearer updates for website installations.

Improved

  • Larger text and buttons in learned-word notices, with a taller result window.

Fixed

  • Website installations now say “latest website installer” instead of implying they are the latest Microsoft Store version.

0.1.44

Sayvento is now available from Microsoft Store, with Store-managed installation and updates.

New

  • Microsoft Store package configuration with microphone access and a dedicated startup entry.

Improved

  • Store installations use Microsoft Store for updates and the Windows startup task for launch at login.

0.1.43

A clearer dictation result: a one-line confirmation when the text is pasted, and a readable card when it needs you.

Improved

  • After a successful paste or copy, the result is a single line with the app and word count, plus Copy.
  • When a paste needs your attention, a larger card names the reason (no text field found, you switched windows, the original window is gone, Windows blocked the paste) and offers Copy, History and Paste.
  • Larger, easier-to-read text in the result cards; privacy details moved into a shield icon with a tooltip.

Fixed

  • The dictation result card could cut off its last line.

0.1.42

A full Greek interface, many more dictation languages, spoken commands in your own words, and safer handling when something goes wrong.

New

  • Full Greek interface. Settings → System → Interface language offers Same as Windows, Ελληνικά and English. It changes menus, messages and Help, and is separate from the dictation language.
  • Any language: automatic detection for speakers outside Greek and English. Greek + English remains the default and still handles both languages in the same sentence.
  • 21 more dictation languages, 28 in total. Selected text can be translated into any of them.
  • Voice commands in your own words: select text, choose Command and say what to change, such as “make it friendlier” or “translate it to Turkish”. The quick built-in commands for shorter, email, bullet points and translation remain.
  • Scratchpad: a notes panel opened from the floating bar or the tray menu. While it is open, dictation goes into the panel instead of another app. Its text is kept in memory only.
  • Backup: export and import your Dictionary, Snippets, App styles and Learned words as one file. Import only adds what is missing. History can be exported as Markdown or CSV.
  • Retry failed dictation: if a transcription fails, for example while offline, the recording is kept in memory for 10 minutes. Retry from the floating bar or the tray menu. It is never written to disk.
  • Restore clipboard after paste, on by default: what you had copied is put back after a successful paste.
  • Shortcuts: press Esc to cancel a recording. F1–F24 can be used on their own, for example holding F8 to talk. Optional Command and Translate shortcuts.

Improved

  • Plain names throughout the app: Home, Dictionary, Snippets, Styles, History and Help.
  • Optional AI cleanup now has a time limit. If it runs long, the transcript is pasted without waiting for the cleanup.
  • Time saved (estimate) on Home now subtracts your speaking time and compares with typing at 40 words per minute.
  • In Greek + English mode, a transcript that comes back in another alphabet (for example Georgian or Cyrillic) is transcribed again in Greek before it is pasted.
  • Less waiting between Stop and paste: the privacy check now runs alongside transcription, and your sign-in session is refreshed when you start dictating instead of after you stop.

Fixed

  • “No usable audio detected” is now shown as an error, not as a successful dictation.
  • A failed transcription no longer discards the recording.

0.1.41

A recognisable Sayvento icon in the Windows tray.

Fixed

  • The Sayvento icon could be hard to find in the Windows tray. The tray now uses the icon bundled with the installer; tooltip, click and menu behave as before.

0.1.40

Sayvento tells you when a newer version is available.

New

  • Update checks shortly after start and every six hours while Sayvento runs. A banner offers Download update, which opens the download page.
  • Settings → Status shows the installed version, the last successful check and a Check for updates button. Nothing is downloaded or installed automatically.

0.1.39

Removes an unnecessary wait before pasting.

Fixed

  • A lost internal confirmation could add a wait of up to a quarter of a second before pasting and saving to History.

0.1.38

Fewer silent recordings mistaken for speech.

Improved

  • Automatic microphone gain is turned off, so background noise is not amplified into something that looks like speech.
  • A stricter local check rejects weak, varying microphone noise. Very quiet speech may occasionally be rejected; move the microphone closer if so.

0.1.36

Better rejection of silence and steady noise.

Improved

  • The local audio check now looks at variation and frequency as well as loudness, rejecting hum, hiss, steady tones and clicks.

Fixed

  • A silent recording could come back as text from Sayvento’s own formatting instructions. Those instructions are no longer sent with the recording.
  • The stop sound now plays after the microphone has closed.

0.1.35

Empty recordings are discarded on your computer.

New

  • Short recordings with no usable microphone signal are discarded locally, before any AI processing, paste or History entry.

0.1.34

Dictate with the Back and Forward mouse buttons.

New

  • Mouse 4 (Back) and Mouse 5 (Forward) can start and stop dictation. Only the selected button is reserved.

0.1.33

Paste follows your focus.

New

  • Switch apps while Sayvento finishes and the text is pasted into the app that is active when it is ready. On by default, with a switch in Settings.

0.1.32

Dictate with the middle mouse button.

New

  • The middle mouse button can start and stop dictation. Scrolling and other buttons keep working.

0.1.31

Formatting that fits where you write.

New

  • Destination format, Automatic by default: paragraphs and numbered lists for supported destinations, with Email, Chat, AI prompt, Document, Single line and Plain text choices in Styles.

0.1.30

Public download and Free accounts.

New

  • Sayvento for Windows became available to download from this site, with Free sign-up. No invitation or card required.

0.1.29

Includes 0.1.21 – 0.1.29

Private beta releases, 14–15 September 2026.

New

  • In-app Help with searchable answers in English and Greek (0.1.29).
  • Live transcription while you speak, to shorten the wait after you stop (0.1.28).

Improved

  • History, dictionary and other personal data are kept separately for each account on the same computer (0.1.23).
  • Sayvento starts with Windows by default, with a switch in Settings (0.1.22).

Fixed

  • Microphone access reporting, the setup guide’s microphone check, account restore at startup and floating bar hover behaviour (0.1.24–0.1.27).

Earlier development builds are not listed. Version 0.1.37 was an internal test build and was not published.
